Every year, a select sample of Condé Nast Traveler readers take the Readers’ Choice Survey and rate their top choices across the globe in a variety of travel categories, including top cities, top islands, and top hotels. For 2015, Maui was at the top of everyone’s list for best US island destination, followed by Kauai, and then Oahu. In fact, the top four US island destinations were in Hawaii!
