Located at Hale Pau Hana Resort on Kamaole Beach II. Kamaole II is one of the three Kamaole beaches in South Kihei, Maui. All three beaches face west, with the islands of Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokai in full view just a few miles away. Kamaole Beach II’s crystal clear water and white sand is known for its beauty and tranquility, and appeals to visitors of all ages. The waves are small to medium in size, making the beach great for swimming and bodyboarding as well as not too dangerous for children. There is also coral reef, making snorkeling another option for a beach outing. The sand is soft and at low tide the wet sand offers a perfect opportunity for children to build sandcastles. Kamaole is almost always sunny, unlike the west side of Maui where beaches can be overcast.
Just up the road a few miles is the town of Kihei, where there is no shortage of restaurants and night life attractions including hotspots like Yorman’s by the Sea, Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Kahale’s Beach Club. Meanwhile, just a few miles south sits the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve, a coastal lava field that includes a protected reef system and restricted hiking access.
